Welcome to MJF Ductwork, one of the UK’s few specialist suppliers and installers of Fire Rated Ductwork, proudly serving the industry since 2005. Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, we provide a Supply and Installation service across the HVAC sector. As a fourth‑generation family business—with Harry now joining the team—we combine decades of experience with modern compliance, innovation, and a commitment to exceptional workmanship.

Fire Rated Ductwork Specialists
We are among a select group of UK contractors fully qualified to install Fire Rated Ductwork in accordance with current regulations. Fire safety requirements in England are governed by Approved Document B, which outlines statutory guidance for fire protection in buildings.
For Fire Rated Ductwork specifically, industry guidance references standards such as BS 476 Part 24 and BS EN 1366‑1, which define the required fire resistance testing for duct systems. Our installations follow these standards to ensure full compliance, safety, and performance.

Our fitters hold all relevant industry certifications, including:
CSCS / Skill Cards
PASMA – recognised as the UK’s benchmark for safe assembly and use of mobile access towers, supporting legal requirements for competence under the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
IPAF – globally recognised training for safe operation of MEWPs such as scissor lifts and boom lifts, ensuring compliance with powered access safety standards.

Management Team
Chris Humm
Co-Founder
Christopher Humm was out to work by the age of 15, working with his Father across the UK and London as a Ducting Apprentice (not that they were named that back then)! He has been in the trade ever since, once becoming a father and wanting to move out of London he targeted High Wycombe. Due to the furniture trade High Wycombe had a high population of Ductwork Companies due to the need for Dust Extraction. He moved to High Wycombe in 1975.
Christopher has worked for the past 50+ years in the Ducting trade and has worked for many companies such as Isotemp, Gardners, and Hotchkiss. During his career he had built a company of over 40 pairs with Pro-Duct-in based in Eastbourne.
Matthew Fowler
Co-Founder & Director
Matthew Fowler originally worked in High Wycombe’s famous furniture industry and worked for Frank Hudson. He had made furniture for many prestigious clients such as Liberty’s, Harrods and John Lewis.
With the furniture industry in decline Matthew made the brave step of re-training and took up an apprenticeship with Christopher Humm in 2002. He has learnt this trade and been given a sound foundation. Matthew takes pride in the quality of his workmanship. Together with Christopher’s background in the industry and Matthews’s work ethic and reputation he was able to go into business for himself in 2007 creating MJF Ductwork Ltd. With hard work, reliability and excellent workmanship the company is growing from strength to strength.
Selina Fowler
Co-Founder & Director
Selina Fowler, daughter of Christopher Humm has a history in the construction industry. Moving from IT Marketing into Sales within a Shopfitting Company she has been working with retail & construction clients since 1998. Originally working on full Turnkey projects then moving to a Retail Lighting Specialist with LPA Lighting as Head of Global Accounts - Retail.
Alongside this, Selina supports MJF Ductwork with the back office admin, sales and marketing.
Harry Fowler
Building Services Degree Apprentice
Harry Fowler, after completing a Building Services BTEC Harry has started a Degree Apprenticeship while working on site and supporting the back office for Estimating.
